What if a UL HazLoc customer does not want UL 62368-1 used as the applicable OrdLoc requirements in support of their UL HazLoc certification? Can UL 60950-1 or UL 60065 continue to be used for UL HazLoc certifications?

Between now and the established transition date of 1 December 2020, UL 60950-1 and UL 60065 can continue to be used as the applicable OrdLoc requirements in support of new UL HazLoc certifications under certification categories that reference these standards. After the transition date of 1 December 2020, only UL 62368-1 will be used for new certifications. However, there are many other UL HazLoc certification categories that do not reference UL 60950-1 or UL 60065. Consideration can be made as to the possibility of transferring a UL HazLoc certification to one of these other categories, if appropriate. For revisions to existing UL HazLoc certifications that reference UL 60950-1 and UL 60065 as the applicable OrdLoc requirements, the requirements of UL 60950-1 and UL 60065 can continue to be relied upon as long as the revisions do not involve a change to the physical equipment design or function.
